After a lot of work, Twitch Apex Stats has been rebuilt from the ground up to bring a lot of new features and increase user experience; many backend improvements were made as well. TLDR below, but I ask that you read everything.
New user dashboard for everyone to manage accounts. (User Dashboard)
A free version of overlays is now available for everyone.
Everyone can now make game sessions automatically start when their stream goes live.
French has been added as a supported language.
Overlays now support the available languages (English, French, Russian).
Correctly set up commands/overlays should still work; if not, recreate them on the User Dashboard (recreating is recommended to prevent future issues).
The Full Details
When this project was first started, I just threw together a quick set of commands and overlays to help out the community. Over time I added more, but the code was getting hard to maintain. I never expected the project to grow as much as it has, so it was time to rebuild from the ground up for a better experience and to enable many new features.
New User Dashboard
The old setup relied on people entering things correctly and consistently — easy to get wrong across multiple moderators. The new dashboard fixes a lot of those issues. You log in with Twitch and manage your own channel or ones you moderate, with settings stored centrally instead of inside each command/overlay URL.
Default / Multiple Game Accounts
You can now have a default game account and multiple game accounts on a single channel — handy for solo-to-Masters runs or separate solo/stack accounts. The same commands/overlays work for both just by switching the default account, or can target one specifically.
New Free Features
Overlays — the most requested feature now has a free option for everyone (with Powered By branding, like commands).
Auto Start Game Sessions on Going Live — formerly a Patreon-only feature, now available to everyone.
French Language Support
French has been added alongside English and Russian. To volunteer translating into more languages, contact me (Twitter: @MrCaseyJames or Discord: @mrcaseyjames).
Overlays Are Now Multilingual
Overlays now support the same languages as commands (English, French, Russian).
Applying Patreon Benefits
You can now choose which channels to apply your Patreon benefits to — including channels you moderate — and apply to multiple channels by increasing your pledge ($1 per channel). Link your Twitch and Patreon via the Patreon Settings on the dashboard.
Other Changes
Ranked Arenas overlays use the styled Arenas rank icons.
Masters/Predator rank icons now show current position instead of being blank.
New RP/AP Bottom variants and matching RP/AP Top overlays.
Arenas Legend Kills commands & overlays (total and session).
Higher render resolution and better legend icons.
Fixes for Twitch channel name changes.
Backend performance & reliability improvements.
Migration Process
Correctly entered Twitch channel names (still current) were imported into the dashboard, with their game accounts.
Previously valid commands/overlays should keep working; recreating them is still recommended.
Existing Patreon overlay options/styling were imported where the channel still exists.
Planned Future Features
Patreon supporters designing their own overlays with custom images and auto-filled placeholders.
Designing your own commands with custom text and data.
Possibly an official Twitch bot for simpler setup.
Always open to suggestions!
